reFind Consigned Fashion (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Alberta privacy law.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and a securely hashed password. If you consign with us, we also store your consignor number (assigned by our point-of-sale system).
- Consignment agreement records: when you sign our consignor agreement online, we store your typed signature, the initials you provide, the version you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address used to sign, as a record of your consent.
- Appointment details: the appointments you book, the number of items, your chosen notification preference, and any notes.
- Messages to our FAQ assistant: questions you type into the optional AI assistant are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. Please don't include sensitive personal information in those messages.
- Technical data: essential cookies used to keep you signed in, and, if enabled, privacy-friendly, cookie-less website analytics that do not track you across other sites.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and consignor relationship.
- To schedule, confirm, remind you about, and manage appointments.
- To record your acceptance of our consignor agreement and policies.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer service.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
Service providers
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed to provide their service: email delivery (transactional email), SMS delivery (appointment notifications), our AI assistant provider (only the text of questions you submit), and our website hosting provider. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services, meet our consignment obligations, and comply with legal and record-keeping requirements. You may ask us to close your account and delete information we are not required to retain.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. To make a request, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
